Mark Haward is the coordinator and chief trainer for Mind Kind UK, an international consultancy who specialise in learning to learn and whole brain learning research and, in particular, providing practical teaching, coaching, mentoring, training and learning tools based on the huge amount of international research within this field.

Mark gained his B.Ed Hons Degree from the University of Wales and has spent twenty years working as an educator in England, Wales, Australia and New Zealand. After gaining a Management Diploma he worked with advisors to help schools implement the History and Geography National Curriculum. It was while researching learning techniques worldwide that he met Chris Gamble, creator of Mind Kind, and joined his international team. In 1996 Mark became the Chief Trainer for Mind Kind in the U.K. and has worked with hundreds of schools, colleges, universities, local education authorities and the business sector since then.

Mark has set up and run Learning Centres, worked with whole local authorities, delivered packages to school clusters, helped schools become nationally recognised leaders in their field, developed long term partnerships with Headteachers, trained advisors, created many learning to learn systems within schools, worked alongside hundreds of teachers in their classrooms and, most importantly, helped individual pupils to succeed and achieve!

Mark’s skills and expertise have also been sought after in the business sector. Personalised coaching / mentoring has proven particularly popular with members of the police force and judiciary. Larger project partnerships have also taken place with British Telecom, I.C.I, Pfizer and the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development.

Mark is an avid sportsman. He has passion for sailing, climbing, skiing and diving! He is probably most relaxed when on a long rock climbing route in the Alps or Himalayas. An expert in ‘learning how to learn’, ‘Accelerated Learning’ and the practical applications of ‘Neuro Linguistic Programming’ he is looking forward to sharing the powerful resources and techniques through Learning Works.
